Dr. John Fitch III, professor of Broadcasting and Electronic Media/Film Techniques and Technology, was recognized with the Excellence in the Practice of the Communication Arts Award at the 88th annual meeting of the Kentucky Communication Association at Lake Barkley State Park Sept. 19-21.

Marla Ridenour, the first female sports editor at EKU’s independent student newspaper, The Eastern Progress, sat down for an interview with Coach Roy Kidd in the new football facilities during Homecoming weekend. Conducting the interview were current Eastern Progress Media Network sports editor Zachary Combest and video staff James Mason and Joseph Steele.

Join the Department of Communication from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Alumni Coliseum lot for tailgating. The department will be serving chiken wings and offer games and a chance to connect with department alumni. 

CLASS Collage open to alumni and guests

The College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences will host a celebration of the many facets of the college during the CLASS Collage October 4.

A reception will commence at 7:30 p.m. followed by a music, art, communication and literature showcase featuring a variety of performances that highlight our outstanding students and faculty.

Alumni and guests are welcome.
