Faculty/Student documentary earning accolades.

When Jason Edwards chose his brother, Joe, as the subject of his internship project at EKU last summer, he hoped to gain more than a good grade. 

Rudick nominated for Distinguished Educational Leader Award.

Dr. Karen Rudick has been nominated for a 2012-2013 Distinguished Educational Leader Award in the category of Exceptional Classroom Performance. Nominations are made by students.  

Communication faculty nominated for Critical Thinking Teacher of the Year award.

Six members of the Department of Communication full-time faculty were recently nominated for the 2013 Critical Thinking Teacher of the Year award.  Nominees included Dale Anderson, Dr. Mike Branstetter, Dr. Kathy Keltner-Previs, Dr. Jayne Violette, Dr. Jim Gleason and Dr. Ginny Whitehouse.  

Community Journalism project included in new textbook.

The 2011 Community Journalism project - Growing the Next Generation of Community Journalists - just keeps going. The students in the class conducted a study of school/newspaper partnerships and produced a report sent to every high school and newspaper in Eastern's service region.

Dr. Amy Thieme elected Faculty Regent

Dr. Amy Thieme has been elected 2013 Faculty Regent. The results of the run-off election for the 2013 Faculty Regent Election were verified today by the Faculty Senate Elections and University Nominations Committee.  

Cogdill, Fairchild, Keltner-Previs and Taylor nominated for Golden Apple Awards.

Chad Cogdill, Dr. Jennifer Fairchild, Dr. Kathy Keltner-Previs and Dr. John Taylor have been nominated for Golden Apple Awards for excellence in teaching and their willingness to support EKU student success.
